Use shareholders agreements to preserve relationships

Most co-founders are friends who get together and agree to start a business.  Often they believe that their friendship rapports can take them through the rough times that the entrepreneurial journey presents.  However, without an agreement on key terms of vision, ownership, roles and responsibilities, both the business and personal relationships could quickly degenerate.

Ensure that you have these terms captured on paper and signed before the business starts.  This typically gets deferred until it is too late.
